You can now phone your Muse: real-time voice with an avatar that reacts as you talk, out for everyone in the US

Meta rolled out Voice in the Muse app on November 5, 2026: tap the phone icon in the top-right corner and talk to your Muse in real time, interrupting it like a person. An expressive avatar, built on Meta's Muse Realtime Avatar research, reacts with facial expressions and gestures while it listens and speaks, and you can run it voice-only, side by side or full screen. There are hundreds of voices to choose from, and Muse keeps working on tasks in the background while you talk, so you can hand off errands on a walk or with your hands full.

Why it matters

Talking through a half-formed plan or rehearsing an interview out loud is faster than typing prompts, and the agent keeps doing the work while you speak.

Who it's for

Muse users in the US, especially anyone who wants to plan, brainstorm or delegate tasks hands-free.

How to try it

  1. Update the Muse app and tap the phone icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Pick a voice and choose voice-only, side-by-side avatar or full screen.
  3. Try a rehearsal: "Play the interviewer for a product manager role and push back on my answers."
  4. Hand off a task mid-call and check its progress in the chat afterwards.

Plan & availability: Rolling out now in the Muse app in the US on mobile, web and Mac; coming later to Meta's AI glasses and Muse Charm. Checked on Meta's newsroom post on November 6, 2026.
