Meta bought Conductor, the app for running coding agents side by side. Cloud users have until November 20 to move their work
Conductor, a Mac app that runs several coding agents in parallel, each in its own workspace, is joining Meta. CEO Charlie Holtz says the team will work at Meta Superintelligence Labs with Nat Friedman and Alexandr Wang on 'the next interface', and Wang welcomed them with 'muse gang growing'. New sign-ups and downloads stopped on November 4, and existing Pro users keep Pro features for free. Conductor Cloud goes read-only on November 13 and shuts down on November 20, when user data starts being deleted. Local Conductor keeps getting new models and critical fixes until early 2027.
Why it matters
If you run your agents in Conductor Cloud, you have a hard deadline to move your work. For everyone else, it's another sign that big labs want to own the interface for managing many agents at once.

What it means for you
- In Conductor, right-click each Cloud workspace and choose Transfer to local before November 13.
- Download everything from Settings, Account, Export data before November 20.
- Start trying an alternative for running parallel agents, since local Conductor winds down in early 2027.
