Free OpenFOAM CFD agent: describe a flow in plain English, Reynolds returns the case and plots
Standard Physics' Reynolds is an agentic CFD tool that takes a plain-language flow description, writes and meshes an OpenFOAM case, solves it, and returns figures, numbers and a rerunnable case. The open-source OpenReynolds package is MIT-licensed on GitHub and installable with pip install openreynolds, so experts can inspect and re-run the ordinary OpenFOAM case locally or on their own servers. Hosted workspaces are free for individual engineers with a verified work email and no card, per the Reynolds product page. Companion product Archimedes uses the same simulation stack to search thousands of physical designs; Reynolds is the piece you can run yourself.
Why it matters
Classical CFD toolchains take weeks to learn. A free agent that emits real OpenFOAM cases lets engineers test ideas in hours without trusting a black-box surrogate.
Who it's for
Mechanical, aero and thermal engineers who need a first OpenFOAM run, plus researchers who want an open agentic CFD harness.
How to try it
- Open standardphysics.com/reynolds and sign up with a verified work email for the free hosted tier, or pip install openreynolds for local use.
- Describe the flow in plain words (geometry, fluid, what you want measured).
- Review the returned figures and download the OpenFOAM case so you can re-mesh or re-run it yourself.
- Email kabir@inviscidai.com only if you need a pilot, pricing or a problem outside the free individual tier.
Plan & availability: Who qualifies: individual engineers with a verified work email for the free hosted tier; no card. OpenReynolds is MIT open source for local or self-hosted use. Deadline: none stated. Afterwards: contact Standard Physics for pilots or paid capacity. Checked on standardphysics.com/reynolds on November 7, 2026.
