Cursor Coding

Cursor now lets you draw on your app to tell the agent what to fix: meet Annotate in design mode

Cursor added Annotate to its design mode, a way to give agents visual prompts instead of long text descriptions. You can edit elements directly, draw on the page to point at what should change, and review your design at different screen sizes before handing it to the agent. Instead of typing "move the second button on the pricing card a bit left on mobile", you circle it and say what you want. The announcement video passed 60,000 views and 1,400 likes within hours.

Why it matters

Describing a layout problem in words is slow and often misread. Pointing at it is faster and leaves less room for the agent to fix the wrong thing.

Who it's for

Front-end developers and designers who build UI with Cursor's agent.

How to try it

  1. Update Cursor and open your app in design mode.
  2. Switch to Annotate and draw on or select the element you want changed.
  3. Check the page at a phone and a desktop width to catch layout problems.
  4. Add a one-line instruction and let the agent make the change, then review the diff.

Plan & availability: Part of design mode in the Cursor app; Cursor's post didn't list plan limits, and the feature wasn't in the public changelog yet when we checked.
