Gemini 4 Argon is out: what to try first
Google's new frontier model, Gemini 4 Argon, started rolling out in the Gemini app on October 13 and is globally available. Google pitches it for hard problems from start to finish across coding, enterprise workflows and cyber defense. It is also live in the Gemini API and AI Studio for paid API and Google Ultra subscribers.
Why it matters
It is Google's new top model, and it is now in the app most people already have.
Who it's for
Anyone who uses Gemini for hard coding, research or work problems.
How to try it
- Open the Gemini app and choose Gemini 4 Argon.
- Give it a multi-step problem rather than a one-liner, for example a full feature spec or a messy analysis.
- Developers: try it in AI Studio or the Gemini API.
Plan & availability: Gemini app globally; API and AI Studio for paid API and Google Ultra subscribers at launch.
